Math

MrNussbaum.com aims to create an indispensable learning atmosphere for kids in grades K-8, that successfully blends fun with learning. When students associate fun with learning, anything is possible in terms of skill-building and achievement. Although Mr. Nussbaum has games in several subjects, I love to use it for Math. When you can make math fun for your children that’s a win-win.

Math-Aides provides FREE math worksheets for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers. They are randomly generated which allows you to create unlimited about of printables in many different math subjects.

Science

Steve Spangler Science has always been and will always be to create amazing experiences that make people of all ages fall in love with science.

NASA has a program for kids that’s worth checking out for students who are interested in space.

National Geographic Kids is a children’s magazine published by the National Geographic Society. Easy to read articles, amazing photographs and fun games!

Reading/ English

Project Gutenberg is an online resource, housing more than 45,000 eBooks, including a sizable library of children’s classical literature by some of the world’s most beloved authors. The stories can be downloaded to read on your computer, an e-reader, or other mobile device and some of the stories can be downloaded as audiobooks

English For Everyone is a wonderful online resource for getting your English printables. On the left side of the page, you will find a long list of topics to choose from. Simply print the ones that correspond with your lesson and you are good to go. EnglishForEveryone is affiliated with Read Theory and English Maven — both excellent sites for online informational practice quizzes.

Google Lit Trips are downloadable files that mark the journeys of characters from famous literature on the surface of Google Earth. Along the way, placemarks with pop-up windows contain “just in time” resources including relevant media, thought-provoking discussion starters, and links to supplementary information about “real world” references in that portion of the story.

MrNussbaum.com was developed with the idea that crucial concepts, themes, ideas, and fact sets taught in the classroom can be enhanced over the internet through interactivity. Furthermore, for teachers to have a reliable k -8 internet site to use in the computer lab or in the classroom, that likely covers one or many themes currently being taught
